Minesweeper

Reveal every safe square without touching a mine. Each number you uncover tells how many mines sit in the eight neighbouring cells. Your first click is always safe.

How to play

  1. Tap a cell to reveal it; your first click never lands on a mine.
  2. A revealed number shows how many mines are in that cell's eight neighbours.
  3. Flag the cells you believe are mines (flag mode or a long-press).
  4. Clear the field by revealing every cell that is not a mine.

Frequently asked questions

What is no-guess mode?

No-guess mode tests every generated board with a solver and only uses boards that can be solved from start to finish by logic alone — no guessing. It is on by default for Easy and Medium.

Is the first click really safe?

Yes. Mines are placed after the cell you click first and its eight neighbours, so you never explode on the opening move.

What happens when I tap a number?

If you have flagged enough cells around a revealed number, tapping it reveals the remaining neighbours in one move — this is called chording.
